Marbella, 25/03/15. Fuerte Hoteles, traditionally a family hotel chain, has invested €6 million to redesign the Hotel Fuerte Miramar and adjust its market position as a hotel recommended for adults. In doing so, it joins a growing trend in the tourism sector of hotels seeking to differentiate themselves from the market, specialising in the increasingly discerning segment of couples, single travellers and groups, generally aged over 30, with grown children or without children, who seek relaxation and exclusivity in order to leave the daily grind behind.
These adult only establishments generate added value and diversify the options available in a destination, with benefits for local trade and, as a result, job creation opportunities. As a result, Fuerte Miramar is following the benchmark set by the group of committing to responsible tourism, consequently boosting Marbella as a holiday destination. The group is also capitalising on the hotels location, thus enhancing the local environment, Marbella’s old quarter in particular, and improving San Ramón beach in the process. In doing so, the group is looking to convert the area into a tourist destination that is particularly appealing to clientèle with a high purchasing power.
Fuerte Miramar reopens its doors just in time for Easter to offer exclusive services in unique spaces that improve the local environment under the new Amàre Club concept. Three modern spaces, Amàre Lounge, Amàre Beach and Amare Pool combine swimming pool, solarium, lounge, beach restaurant and a spacious sunbathing area with sunloungers and Balinese beds, accompanied by chill-out music to offer a range of first class services designed to ensure relaxation, luxury and entertainment in a select, contemporary setting.
Inspired by this concept, the hotel has renovated the building’s rooms and façade, installing glass in the terraces’ handrails to ensure guests delight in the sea views. Stunning views of the Mediterranean can be taken in from the Belvue Rooftop Bar, the first of its kind in the centre of Marbella. The refurbishment work has been complemented by the new lobby, the Mare Nostrum restaurant and the inauguration of the Germaine de Capuccini spa and Gym by Technogym fitness centre.
